About me
The convergence of advancements in gene editing , gene therapy , and transcriptomics are providing the technical and translational basis to address the underlying causes of human diseases. I am an entrepreneur and scientist fascinated by work at this intersection.
I studied Engineering Physics as an undergraduate but was drawn to developing tools that would make transcriptomic information actionable in a therapeutic context. My PhD thesis focused on repurposing the CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering system to target RNA which set the technological foundation for Locana. I co-founded this venture-funded human therapeutics company and served as Chief Technology Officer .
